Eurosafe Solutions have been working with Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) to provide architects with a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity that will help them make informed decisions when designing and specifying fall protection systems.
The 1hour CPD is carried out at the architect’s practice. It allows architects to present any current projects where designing the most appropriate solution is proving difficult.
This is an Australian Institute of Architects recognised activity. Participation in the Designing and Specifying Fall Protection Systems Seminar will accrue 1 formal CPD point towards the requirements off the RAIA CPD policy and the NSW Architects Registration Board continuing professional education scheme in the area of Design.
The CPD gives the attendee an understanding of the following;
· Permanent safety systems for protecting those who work at height
· The Hierarchy of Risk Management
· Fall Restraint and Fall Arrest
· Choosing the appropriate fall protection solution
· Design and specify fall protection systems
It also covers the history and advancements of roof top fall protection, from structural fixed anchors through to top fix anchors such as the Constant Force post that have been tested on Australia’s leading commercial roofs and complies with Section J of the Building Code of Australia.
By attending the seminar, architects can make informed decisions by choosing materials that will aid them design and specify a solution best suited for their project that complies with any OHS regulations and guidelines.
