Inclined systems

Horizontal ManSafe® systems can be used on roofing applications up to 15° in pitch but for applications where the incline is between 15° and 90° from the horizontal, attachment to the ManSafe system is by means of a ClimbLatch™ unit.

The ClimbLatch™ unit is extremely versatile, operating on both inclined and horizontal systems, therefore preventing the need for a worker to change attachments when moving from one section to another. In the event of a worker falling whilst connected to the ManSafe® system, the ClimbLatch™ transfastener immediately locks onto the system, therefore arresting the fall.

ClimbLatch™ systems typically attach to the following roof backgrounds:

  • Standing Seam roof sheets
  • Composite roof sheets
  • Secret fix roof sheets
  • Built up on site roof sheets
  • Membrane roof sheets
  • Steelwork
  • Concrete

As with all Latchways ManSafe® systems, they are certified and tested to EN353-1 and EN795.
