Project Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Eurosafe client: Cladding & Roofing Contractors
Tectvs Architecture
Contract Duration: 2 days. 1 day to install the posts to the major structural steel and a second day to attach and tension the Latchways ManSafe static line system
Project Brief: Eurosafe Solutions were approached by Tectvs to design and specifiy a roof top safe access system. Cladding & Roofing subcontracted the roof safety package to Euroafe Solutons for the installation of the Latchways ManSafe system.
The Solution: The Latchways ManSafe static line system using the traditional galvanised mild steel post affixed to the major structural steel works of the roof. This type of roof anchor is engineered and designed to accommodate the loads of multiple users falling at the same time. The posts are considerably more robust than primitive purlin eyebolts that are only tested for single person use. Ideally, fall protection systems must accommodate 2 users at any given time for working in pairs and to facilitate a rescue if required.
Static line systems offer workers a simple and safe method for working at height where they can be secure at all times.
