Project Brief The Emirates Stadium required access and safety systems to the main stadium roof and the administration building. Working for the roofing contractor, Prater Ltd, and the main contractor, Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd, Eurosafe Solutions Ltd were heavily involved in the design and installation of the systems.

The main stadium roof required uninterrupted access around the inner perimeter of the roof to allow for maintenance works to be carried out to the floodlights.

The administration building required an unobtrusive access solution as the main stadium entrance runs directly underneath the building.

The Solution
To allow for total roof access on the main stadium roof, a bespoke walkway system was designed. Each section of walkway, complete with an adjacent fall protection system, was individually designed to take in to account the rise and fall of the canopy which had been created by the architects.

The administration building had a bespoke abseil system introduced. As there is a main railway line running next to the Emirates Stadium, an abseil system was the only possible way to clean the glazing without going near the railway line.
