Is it legal to work alone and is it safe? Whilst the HSE is often asked this question, there is no single answer as a detailed risk assessment but the answer is normally "yes". A Lone Worker is one who works by themselves without close or direct supervision and can, at times, be at great risk from the environment that they find themselves working in.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, It is the Employer's duty to assess risks to lone workers and to take the necessary steps to avoid or control risk.
Eurosafe Solutions will often ask the end user one simple question "if you are working at height on your own, how long would it be until someone knew if something was wrong?" If you are unsure of the answer, then the situation will require some form of Lone Worker Alarm.
As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the end user safe when working at height, Eurosafe Solutions are pleased to announce that we are now able to provide a range of Lone Worker Alarms supplied by MDH Wireless Technologies. MDH Wireless Technologies offer a range of Lone Worker Alarms to be able to sound an alarm for the Lone Worker, no matter what situation they find themselves in.
By providing these Lone Worker systems, Eurosafe Solutions are once again showing their commitment to the end user. Safety at height without compromise.
